The Lord’s Prayer & the 7 Chakras
by Michael Ankrah
when you pray, say...
Perhaps the one most important issue that set me off on my spiritual journey was the time that I came to the conclusion that the Lord's prayer that Jesus taught his disciple was not a mere recital as it has become in Christianity. My spiritual journey from this premise has opened my eyes to a lot more about the Bible and its completeness and mysteries. “In this manner, therefore, pray:
crown chakra (7)
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Crown Chakra
Sanskrit: Name: Sahasrara
Location: Top of head
Objective: Becoming God Incarnate
Lesson: Knowingness– Becoming one with everything. Beginning with the ultimate goal in mind - to become one with the father as Jesus desired in his final prayer. We look to our father who is in heaven, right above the earth which is our body. Heaven sits right at the top of our body. Here Jesus taught a masterful approach in any endeavour, begin with the end in mind (Stephen Covey). Read more here
Attribute: Becoming a representation and manifestation of the divine consciousness and being at one with the universe. This is the pinnacle of spirituality.
When we master this stage of the Lord's prayer, our connection to God or the universal intelligence is complete. We are seeking to Integrate our consciousness and subconsciousness into the union that was intended in the first marriage of the Bible.
This stage of prayer is to bring one’s awareness to the fullness and emptiness of the divine power that made us and for which we are a crucial part. We were created in the image of the father from the very beginning and our focus is to reconnect to the power which we lost.
Looking unto the father is also to become like the father. The father is love and when we become one with the father, we live solely to server out our gift in the same way that the sun shines to sustain life on earth.
Brow chakra (third eye) 6
Your kingdom come. Brow (Third eye) Chakra
Sanskrit Name: Anja
Location: forehead, between the eyes
Objective: Becoming The Alchemist
Lesson: Living in God's power. This stage in the Lord’s Prayer is our quest to forgo all the things that we come to learn in our world and have come to define who we are. We want to learn and develop mastery in living our lives in the mindset of the father’s kingdom of unity and be completely redeemed from the kingdom of the world that operates on knowing good and evil.
Attribute: This stage of prayer is to rid ourselves of all forms of desire that came from our competitive nature because we think we know what is good and what is evil.
Throat chakra (5)
Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Throat Chakra
Sanskrit Name: Visuddha
Location: Top of head
Objective: The Death of our Ego
Lesson: Jesus is teaching us to seek the will (our life's purpose) of the father in our lives. This stage of the prayer is a quest to obtain direction and guidance from the divine. Through the stages of the earlier development of love, we will have inculcated various ideas and conditioning which were intended to direct our actions.
Attribute: When we gain mastery at this stage of the Lord’s Prayer, we are not affected by the competitive pursuits of the world any more. At this stage, our worldly egos are completely subdued and the will of God is what defines our thoughts and actions.
At this stage in our prayer life, we trust that all things are going to work together for good. All is well.
Heart chakra (4)
Give us this day our daily bread. Heart Chakra
Sanskrit Name: Anahata
Location: Center of chest
Objective: Living From Our Heart and Not Our Minds
Lesson: Contentment. The father who has his eyes on the sparrow is definitely watching over you but can you live in the here and now and experience the bliss that comes with not worrying about tomorrow because you know that the father will take of that.
Mastery of this stage of the Lord’s Prayer is reflected in our ability to separate our needs from our desires.
We have the instinctive ability to give to others what we have that they need. We need to be in awareness of the guidance from within to be able to give others as the father wishes us to do.
Attribute: This is the stage where we begin to leave the things that we have been taught in our lifetime and see all others as equal and deserving of the abundance of the father. We can view the 3 stages above the heart as the heavens, and the 3 below as the earth.
solar plexus chakra (3)
And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. Solar Plexus Chakra
Sanskrit Name: Manipura
Location: Above the navel, stomach area
Objective: Feel The Value and Relevance of All
Lesson: Judge not. It is difficult not to live in judgement of ourselves and for others in the world that we live. Our language and everything that we know about life is based on judging ourselves and others. This energy gate is opened when we elevate ourselves out of the knowledge of the good and evil mindset.
Attribute: At this stage, we still have moments of thinking on the basis of duality but we are able to quickly forgive ourselves or others by letting go of what the world has previously taught us.
This stage of the Lord’s Prayer is the realisation that all have sinned. We were all born sinners, but Jesus asks his followers to remember that the father knows everything and has forgiven us and made everything perfect.
To forgive others is to forgive ourselves. It is to say within our soul that even though we may not understand how something or someone fits into the divine plan, we trust in the father who has made all things and called everything good.
Sacral chakra (2)
And do not lead us into temptation, Sacral Chakra
Sanskrit Name: Svadisthana
Location: Below navel, lower abdomen
Lesson: Feelings to develop beyond the survival stage but to the level of awareness of others need to survive as well. Here we focus our heart on being aware of others beyond ourselves. We feel more in tune with our feelings and also connected to others around us. Our perception is not yet global but is now developed beyond our own survival instincts.
Attribute: If we master this stage of the Lord's prayer and we are steered away from temptation, it will be demonstrated in the situation where our motivation at any point in time is never about thinking that we know what is good from bad. We become aware of situations where we are being drawn into the duality mindset that makes us believe that life is a survival between good and evil.
It is tempting to think many instances that we are in a race for survival. When we allow the father to lead us, we are able to escape the selfish survival way of thinking. We relate better with those that we have chosen to be around us. Sharing our lives with others (family and friends) becomes a richly rewarding interaction every time.
This stage of the Lord's prayer is the recognition that becoming aware of the conditioning of the world is not enough. Every step of the Lord's prayer requires mastery to become the objective rather than merely learning it.
Failure to overcome temptation: The fact is that we are born into sin, and therefore sin confronts us at any moment. At every turn in our lives, we are conditioned to judge. We judge ourselves, we judge others and we judge other things. We are conditioned to see everything in life on the basis of good or evil. To be rich is good, being poor is a terrible thing; white is good, black is evil; educated is good, illiterate is bad.
We judge ours and the appearance of others. At this stage, we have mastered living just beyond survival, but we cannot stop swinging our emotions in different directions as a result of judging.
Root chakra (1)
But deliver us from the evil one. Root Chakra
Sanskrit Name: Muladhara
Location: Base of spine, coccyx
Lesson: Survival – This is the primal stage of worldly survival. In this mindset, we operate strictly on the competition to succeed. Everything is about the win. Competing for what we think is good and being in fear of what we have come to believe as evil is the primary blockage that prevents any form of progression to our father in heaven.
Attribute: If we master this stage of the Lord's prayer in human interactions, we will be able to recognise and remove ourselves from the survival mindset that makes us think and act competitively towards others and our world.
When we translate this into human loving relationships, we will demonstrate mastery of this energy by overcoming our urge for sex as a mere score or win over others.
Failure to escape the evil one: When we get stuck in this level, we operate at the height of the competition. Everything is about our ego. It doesn't matter what social status a person has. You will know their source of power from their fruits.
At this stage, everything is about the win. You realise that you are never satisfied. You desire something and the moment that you receive it, you desire something more. Life is a never-ending competition. You have accumulated £10,000,000 but you want a billion. This is strictly based on knowing good and evil and thus pursuing at all times, what we have deemed to be good.
Unlike other creations, mankind through the act of knowing what is good and evil has fallen into sin. We eat more because we have come to think that food is good and we have it instead of another person. Animals don't have this problem until they become domesticated by mankind. Most animals will eat what they need and look for food again when they require it. Science is coming to the realisation that the majority of chronic human illnesses are a result of consumption through food and thought.
In terms of relationships, people who haven't yet mastered this level of the Lord's prayer see others as competition or prizes. Men and women will struggle to commit themselves to each other because they cannot quench their desire to have a win over someone.
Restoration to the original: For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
As it was in the beginning, so shall it be, well, without end. Jesus would not have been required to come and die to save mankind if our channels of energy were not blocked by our falling for the temptation of sin.
Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV
